Myesha Francis

Myesha Francis is a distinguished visual artist, curator, and accomplished arts entrepreneur who uses her art as a powerful tool to inspire and uplift. Her creative mission is rooted in communicating the message of the golden thread—the unseen yet deeply felt connection that binds us all, reminding viewers of our shared humanity and the beauty of interconnection.

 

Her artistic legacy includes placements in both public and private collections, most notably The Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. Myesha is also a passionate advocate for the healing power of creativity, promoting art as an essential practice for mental health, emotional expression, and relaxation.

 

An ardent arts educator, Myesha has shared her knowledge and passion with diverse audiences—from school classrooms to her innovative creative ventures. Through programs like Passion 2 Paint and Kids Ka Doodle, she fosters artistic exploration and encourages personal growth through accessible, joyful, and engaging art experiences.

 

Academically, she holds a B.A. in Art History and Studio Art from the University of Texas at Arlington, and an M.A. in Museum Studies from Southern University at New Orleans. Her global perspective is informed by international studies in art expertise at the Lorenzo de Medici Art Institute in Florence, Italy, and immersive artistic research throughout Rwanda, Senegal, Ethiopia, and Cameroon.

 

Myesha’s contributions to the arts and creative education have earned her numerous honors, including recognition from Essence Music Fest, The Asante Awards, and The St. Louis Museum of Art as a  proud recipient of the prestigious Romare Bearden Fellowship.

 

In all she does, Myesha Francis exemplifies professionalism, excellence, and a deep commitment to using art as a bridge between people, cultures, and healing.
